How to detect the authenticity of aluminum hydroxide
1. Measurement of oil absorption value
Take 5g aluminum hydroxide and place it on clean flat glass, then drop analytically pure castor oil into the aluminum hydroxide to be tested, and stir while dropping until the aluminum hydroxide to be tested can firmly adhere together. Record the amount of castor oil (ml) at this time, that is, the adsorption amount of castor oil of 5g aluminum hydroxide, and then convert it into the adsorption amount of 100g aluminum hydroxide, that is, the measured oil absorption amount.
2. Measurement of unsaturated polyester paste viscosity
Weigh a certain amount of unsaturated polyester and aluminum hydroxide powder according to the mass ratio of 2:3, place them in a beaker, put them into a constant temperature glycerin bath, and stir the mixed materials at different heights with the same stirring method, stirring intensity and stirring duration to make them evenly mixed. After the mixed paste reaches the predetermined temperature, continue to keep the temperature for 20min (due to the poor fluidity and heat transfer of unsaturated polyester, therefore, keep a certain period of time until the temperature reaches uniform), and measure with a viscometer after the temperature is stable to obtain the viscosity value of the mixed paste.
3. Measurement of loose packing density and reloading density
Take a 10ml clean and dry measuring cylinder, add aluminum hydroxide powder to 10ml, weigh, and measure the loose density; then shake up and down for 100 times at a height of 30mm, and measure the reloading density.
