1. antimony flame retardant

Advantages: Antimony trioxide can not be used as a flame retardant alone, but can be used in combination with appropriate halogen compounds to exert particularly effective flame retardant properties. Antimony flame retardant synergistic mechanism shortcomings: heavy metals, toxic, and arsenic homologs, crude products generally contain arsenic and other heavy metals, arsenic trioxide is arsenic. Can not be used as green filler and green flame retardant.

2. aluminum hydroxide flame retardant (ATH)

Advantages: low price, good flame retardancy.

Disadvantages: poor heat resistance, 200 ℃ that is to start dehydration, 330 ℃ to 350 ℃ that is completely dehydrated, and the curing of the resin in the aluminum hydroxide dehydration temperature range, resulting in the finished product of synthetic resin foaming, uneven surface, dielectric properties decreased, low yield. When applied to high temperature, silica gel fogging, product whitening and blistering, dielectric degradation, etc. EC ≈ 60~100 μS/cm, easy to absorb moisture.

3. magnesium hydroxide flame retardant

Advantages: application of magnesium hydroxide flame retardant (430 ℃ decomposition) non-toxic

Disadvantages: not acid, acetic acid can dissolve magnesium hydroxide, only suitable for low-grade products. Easy to absorb moisture, poor dispersion, poor dielectric.

4. Boehmite Flame Retardant (Boehmite, ALOOH)

Advantages: 1% dehydration temperature is above 350 ℃, dehydration reaches peak value at 500 ℃, EC<50 μS/cm, strong dielectric property, which solves the problem of product defect and dielectric property decrease caused by low dehydration temperature of aluminum hydroxide, and has strong acid and alkali resistance.

Disadvantages: flame retardant slightly lower than aluminum hydroxide, to achieve the same flame retardant properties need to add more. But its biggest feature is high heat resistance, both thermal conductivity, acid and alkali resistance, made of high heat resistance functional materials can improve the added value of products.
